Srinagar, Dec 01 (KNS): Tehreek-e Hurriyat on Thursday condemned arrests and police claims for proclaiming its Tehsil President as offender and said that it is cowardice act of puppet regime that innocent people are being harassed on one pretext or the other.
While referring to its Tehsil President for Rafie Abad, Aijaz Ahmad Bahroo, spokesman said that he is a known political activist and all his activities are neither offensive nor against norms of society.
Spokesman condemned night raids being conducted by police and said that during raids Khazir Muhammad Ganai,Molvi Zahoor Ahmad Mala, Aamir Majid Bhat, Yasin Fayaz Rather, Meraj u Din Bhat, Sajad Nabi Bhat, Aijaz Ramzan ,Waqar Majid, Nazir Ahmad Mir and Manzoor Ahmad Mala were arrested from Tarzoo Sopore locality.
Condemning the unjustified arrests, spokesman said that police and forces have created a sense of insecurity among peaceful and innocent youth. Meanwhile party activist Ab Rashid Rather (Narwa Baramula) was shifted to Kot Bhalwal jail.
Spokesman while commenting over the highhandedness of state administration, said that from nook and corner, the youth are being chased and arrested and this has created panic among people.
Asking state administration to halt its arbitrary measures against youth and said that despite detentions, harassment and ransacking properties and detaining innocent youth, people will follow their mission for freedom.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Spokesman said that police and forces unleashed a reign of terror and in their indiscriminate use of pellets and smoke shelling, scores of innocent and peaceful protestors were seriously injured in Tahab Pulwama, including Aadil Rashid.
While asking authorities for halting their repressive measures against innocent youth, spokesman said that state administration should come with answer about their so called “Mufti’s vision “and explain if blinding and showering pellets is included in this so called “vision” for which they are so rhetoric and justify arresting youth and harassing people.
Commenting over the heartless approach of puppet regime, spokesman said that they should shun their hypocritical behaviour as they stand exposed for their anti people approach.
Spokesman expressed his deep grief over the sad demise of Saif Yusuf and expressed its heartfelt sympathy with Sofi Mohammad Yusuf and other members of Sofi dynasty. He prayed for the bereaved family for their persistence and also for the departed soul.
Meanwhile on the directions of Syed Ali Geelani a delegation led by Peer Saif ullah and comprising of Raja Meraj u Din, Ab Hamid Magrey, Syed Imtiyaz Hyder, Omer Aadil Dar and Nisar Ahmad visited bereaved family and extended condolences on behalf of Chairman Hurriyat Conference Syed Ali Geelani.
