Srinagar, Dec 10 (KNS): Tehreek-e-Hurriyat on Saturday strongly condemned the arrest spree unleashed by state administration and said that police and forces with their heartless approach has created havoc in nook and corner of state and created a sense of insecurity among innocent youth and police during nocturnal raids arrest father against son and brother for brother.
In a statement issued to KNS, Tehreek-e Hurriyat said that forces and police in their joint operation arrested ailing and elderly Gh Mohidin Bhat because his son Farooq Ahmad Bhat is affiliated with freedom movement and presently is working as acting district president of Tehreek-e Hurriyat Kupwara and similarly Tufail Ahmad Rather, Mohammad Abas malik, Javed Ahmad Khan where arrested in Shopian for the simple reason that police is searching for their brothers.
Tehreek-e-Hurriyat said that Molvi Tariq Ahmad Sheikh, a student of Dar-ul-Uloom Bilala was also arrested in Srinagar and Aashiq Hussain Lone, Nisar Ahmad Lone, Aijaz Ahmad Lone, Gh Mohidin Najar, Imtiyaz Ahmad Khan ,Aamir Ahmad Wagey ,Javid Ahmad Najar, Manzoor Ahmad Zargar ( retired employee) Zubair Ahmad Wagey, Yasir Ahmad Wagey and Aamir Hussain were arrested in night raids from Kelam Kulgam.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Spokesman while lamenting state administration and police for their highhandedness, said police during raids ransacked residential houses of Shabir Ahmad Dar, Nazir Ahmad Dar, Ab Gani Shan and Mohammad Subhan Shan and said that people in Hasan pora Aarwani are being paraded in these chilly days of winter and subjected to brutal and humiliating approach by forces during crackdown. It is very sad that brutal forces on the behest of their masters are always ready to flex its muscles and it is only to secure their points and derive pleasure from the sufferings of people.
Meanwhile, Tehreek-e- Hurriyat expressed its deep grief and sorrow over the demise of Gh Hassan Bhat (Harmain Shopian) and extended its condolences and sympathy with his incarcerated son Manzoor Ahmad Bhat and said that it is one more slur on the face of PDP led administration that his son was not permitted to attend last rites of his father. His son Manzoor Ahmad Bhat was arrested by police during recent people’s uprising and slapped PSA and lodged in Kathua jail. His father late Gh Hassan complained uneasiness during his meeting with his incarcerated son at Kathua jai and was rushed to hospital, where he breathed his last. (KNS)
