Says police showing highhandedness

Srinagar, Jan 16 (KNS): Tehreek-e Hurriyat (TeH) on Monday said that its Tehsil President Rafi Abad, Aijaz Ahmad Bohroo is on hunger strike as a mark of protest against apathetic and egoistic approach of police station Sopore. Aijaz Bahroo, who was arrested during recent people's uprising, is since then in lock up and police is not allowing his family members to meet him and even they don’t allow his family to bring food for him. As per statement of spokesman, Aijaz Bahroo has been kept with criminals and no facilities is being provided to him and is facing extreme cold in these chilling winter.
In a statement issued to KNS, spokesman said that Tehsil president Shopian, Mohammad Amin Parey was arrested a year back and though his case was put before court and bailed out but police re- arrested him again and lodged him in outside jail.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelPolice is unnecessarily creating hurdles in his release, said spokesman.
Spokesman said that it’s another parry worker Nazir Ahmad Mantoo was arrested a few month back and since then is suffering from multiple ailments. No medical facility is provided to him said spokesman and police is creating impediments and hurdles in his release.
While ridiculing police highhandedness, spokesman said that police in their raids is harassing the inmates of Jan Mohammad Bandroo and during raids thrashed family members and similarly police in Nambal Haar raided house of Tariq Ahmad Bhat and seized his two locomotives. (KNS)
