Karnah July 3:(KNS) A 15-year-old boy drowned while taking bath in tadd area of Karnah in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Saturday aftrnoon .

Reports reaching Kashmir News Service(KNS) said that the boy identified as one Tofeeq Ahmad Gorsi(15) son of Mohammad Rafeeq Gorsi resident of Prada area of Karnah had taken to Nallah Kajinaag for bath with a group. The teenager soon after venturing into the water body went untraceable, forcing those accompanying him to raise an alarm.

  Local told that after the incident, police was informed and a search operation was launched to retrieve the body.

   The body was retrieved hours later from Pingla Haridal power canal.

  Meanwhile a police official concerned confirmed to KNS about the death of teenager and said that the body was handed over to next-of-kins on conduct of due medico-legal formalities.
