Srinagar, Jun 26 (KNS): A police personnel died on Sunday after a tear smoke shell he was carrying exploded accidentally at Pampore area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
The slain cop identified as Mehraj-ud-din Chopan, a resident of Tral was died on spot after a teargas shell burst at Main chowk Pampore.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The explosion of tear smoke shell triggered panic in the area with people mistaking the explosion as another attack, reports said.
The incident occurred in Drangbal area, 500 meters away from Saturday’s encounter site, where eight CRPF personnel and two militants were killed. (KNS)
