Srinagar, May 12 (KNS): Two-hour-long meeting was held at Banquet Hall, Lal Chowk, Srinagar under the Chair of Minister of Education and the representatives of Teachers forum.
According to the statement issued to KNS, the forum was lead and represented by the EJAC President and Chairman J&K Teachers Forum Ab. Qayoom Wani.
Teachers Forum Ab. Qayoom Wani amply made clear to the Minister the problems faced by SSA Teachers and Head Teachers.
The Minister was convinced by the strong arguments put forward by Ab. Qayoom Wani and a committee was constituted on spot by Minister Education under the MOS Education Shakhti Parihar to find a workable solution to the problem and report within 15 days so that the issue of linking of SSA Salary with state sector is resolved forever.
The Minister Education was flanked by MOS Education Shakti Perihar Secy Education Farooq Ahmad Shah, Additional Secretary Education Masrat Aalam, Ali Afsa Khan, DSE Jammu R.K. Sangral Director SSA Ab. Rashid War, Joint Director Planning javid Ahmad, Joint Director Javid Iqbal Mattoo, Financial Advisor Mahesh Chandra Personal Officer Zahoor Ahmad, Chief Accounts Officer Irfan Ahmad PLO Fridous Ahmad Parray, under Secretary Mohammad Yaqoob Malik, Chand Singh and other top ranking officers from Secretariat and Directorate.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The Minister assured in the meeting that concrete steps shall be taken to mitigate the problems and miseries of SSA teachers and regularization of their salary and other issues confronted by the teachers.
On the positive assurance Ab. Qayoom Wani announced to defer the protest programme of 15th May and asked all the teachers, RET, Teachers, Head teachers to wait till the next decision and there be no hartal or any protest programme till the forum asks for.
At the end president EJAC and Chairman Forum Ab. Qayoom Wani thanked the Hon’ble Minister for Education, Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali, MOS and his team for their sympathetic and teacher friendly role and hoped that he will honour his word regarding SSA salary and will fervently advocate the case. (KNS)
