Handwara Dec 04 (KNS): In a bid to prevent misuse of potable water, the Public Health Engineering Department Handwara has constituted a task force team of seven officials to check illegal water connections and illegal typing of motors across the division.

As per an order, a copy of which lies with Kashmir News Service (KNS), the flying squad is empowered to conduct random checking of consumers to check misuse of precious drinking water. 

The order stated that the task force comprising of seven officials is constituted for removing of illegal connections, illegal typing of motors and for speedy recovery of water tax in order to provide smooth water supply to the beneficiaries.

The officials include Nazir Ahmad Dar, Ghulam Rasool Shah, Abdul Majeed Dar, Bashir Ahmad Lone, Abdul Majeed Mir, Bashir Ahmad Lone and Mohammad Shafi Dar.

It stated that all these officials shall work under the supervision of Assistant Executive Engineer Jal Shakti (PHE) Sub-Division Handwara, while the team will be headed Nazir Ahmad Dar. (KNS)
