Srinagar April 29 (KNS): CPI(M) leader Mohamad Yousuf Tarigami on Monday urged the Election Commission not to postpone polls in the Anantnag-Rajouri Lok Sabha seat.

Tarigami ,while addressing press conference after EC sought a report from Chief Secretary and the Chief Electoral Officer on representations submitted by some parties seeking rescheduling of elections in the constituency due to bad weather conditions.

The BJP and some parties which are not fighting elections are hatching conspiracy to reschedule polls, citing bad road condition on the Mughal road. Such steps will harm the electoral process in J&K and credibility of Election Commission.(KNS)
