Srinagar, Oct 28 (KNS): Senior trade union leader and legislator, M Y Tarigami was today re-elected as president of Center of India Trade Unions (CITU), while Om Prakash was elected as General Secretary in elections held at SKICC here on Saturday.
CITU elected its new committee and members in which 13 office bearers and 35 Working Committee members
The 5th State Conference of J&K, CITU was held here in which various issues and problems confronting working class were discussed and participants pledged with the determination to intensify struggles to fight anti-working class and anti-people policies of the government.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The conference was inaugurated by K. Hemlata, National President CITU and Abdul Gani Bhat presented the welcome address. 200 delegates representing different affiliated unions participated in the day-long conference. (KNS)
