Tarigami pays tributes to Sheikh Abdullah on 116th birth anniversary

Srinagar, Dec 05 (KNS): CPI(M) central committee member and former legislature, Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami on Sunday paid tributes to National Conference founder Shiekh Mohammad Abdullah on his 116th birth anniversary.

Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Tarigami said that Abdullah was a historic personality for leading the fight against landlordism and autocracy, which finally culminated at “Naya Kashmir”.

“Pay my tributes to historic personality Shiekh Shahib for leading the fight against landlordism and autocracy which, finally culminated at "Naya Kashmir" where land to tiller, free education and empowement of women became the foundations of J&K constitution,” Tarigami Tweeted.

Notably, today was 116th birth anniversary of Shiekh Mohammad Abdullah, who was the founder of Muslim Conference now National Conference. (KNS)
