Srinagar, Oct 11 (KNS): CPI (M) leader and MLA Kulgam Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami has expressed shock and grief over the death National Youth Corps (NYC) volunteer Raj Kumar, who was part of month long hunger strike in Srinagar.
Terming the death of the NYC volunteer as sad, unfortunate and an eye opener for the government, he said “the way the government has handled the NYC strike is highly deplorable.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“Government needs to show compassion towards the youth and address their genuine demands in a legitimate way,” he added in a statement to KNS.
The CPI (M) leader has asked the government to shun its insensitive attitude towards these protesting NYC volunteers and demanded implementation of Cabinet Order no. 737-EDU- of 2014 dated October 22, 2014 in letter and spirit. (KNS)
