Tarigami condemns threats against Kashmiri Pandits, calls them attack on Kashmir's tradition of coexistence

SRINAGAR, Aug 12(KNS): CPI(M) leader and Kulgam MLA M Y Tarigami on Wednesday condemned threats against Kashmiri Pandits, saying such intimidation was an assault on Kashmir's tradition of inclusivity and coexistence.

Tarigami's remarks came amid reports that the government had sent Kashmiri Pandit employees on leave as a precautionary measure following threats against members of the community.

"Threats against Kashmiri Pandits, which have prompted the government to send them on leave as a precautionary measure, are highly condemnable," Tarigami said.

He said the Kashmiri Pandit community was an "inseparable part" of Kashmir's cultural and social fabric and stressed that threats by militants must be condemned unequivocally.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
