Urges admin to depute teams to assess damage, seeks compensation

Srinagar, Apr 21 (KNS) CPI (M) senior leader Muhammad Yousuf Tarigami on Thursday expressed anguish over the recent damage to orchards by hailstorm.

 
 The sudden hail storm on Thursday damaged huge stretches of orchards and other crops in dozens of villages, including Gudoora, Karimabad and Murran in the district.
 
CPI (M) senior leader and former MLA Kulgam, Muhammad Yousuf Tarigami expressed concern over the heavy damage caused to orchards due to hailstorm in South Kashmir’s Kulgam Gudoora, Karimabad, Muran areas.
 
Tarigami in a statement issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS) called for a comprehensive compensation for farmers and orchardists who suffered extensive damages due to hailstorm that wreaked havoc in Kulgam district this afternoon.
 
He also urged the government to assess the damages immediately so that the orchardists will not suffer yet again.(KNS)
