‘Instead of forces, they should have send more doctors, medicines’

Srinagar, Jul 12 (KNS): Stating the Government of India instead of sending more force to the state should have sent more medicines and doctors to treat the injured persons here, CPI (M) state secretary and MLA Kulgam M Y Tarigami on Tuesday asked state government to direct force personnel to stop use of pellet guns against protesters.
Tarigami said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi who advised people to maintain peace in the Valley should have sent more doctors, medicines and other facilities to the Valley to treat the injured civilians who are admitted in different hospitals here.
Taking a jibe at Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, Tarigami said that they have heard much about the inquiries and asked her to direct forces stop using pellet guns in the Valley. “Non lethal weapons damaged eyes of several civilians during the ongoing cycle of violence in the Valley. It should be stopped at earliest for the well being of the people of Kashmir,” he said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He while terming the killings and injuries of the protesters here as unfortunate asked Mehbooba to send injured civilians to the hospitals outside the state for specialized treatment, adding that the hospitals across the Valley are flooded with the injured civilians.
While congratulating the government hospital authorities across the Valley for playing vital role in this period of time, Tarigami appealed private medical institutes to open the doors of their respective medical institutes to treat the injured civilians and play their role at this point of time as well.
He also said that the Valley hospitals san life saving drugs and appealed government to make these drugs available as soon as possible. “Government should stop making hollow promises and should play their role in making life saving drugs available in the Valley hospitals,” he said. (KNS)
