Srinagar July 30 (KNS) : The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Chief Spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq paid obeisance at the revered shrine of Hazrat Mirza Akmal-Ud-Din Badakshi ( RA) on his 312th annual Urs observance.
On the occassion, he prayed for lasting peace and prosperity in J&K. The caretakers and management of the revered shrine received the NC leader with rousing welcome and tied a customary headdress around his head.
During the breadth of his stay at the shrine, Tanvir interacted with the devotees and caretakers of the shrine and inquired about the quantum of facilities bring provided by the administration. He also took stock of the availability of civic amenities and other utility services offered to people on the occassion.
Interacting with the devotees, Tanvir said that Hazrat Mirza Kamil Sahib (RA) belonged to the galaxy of great mystics of kashmir, whose spiritual and literary attainments are a source of pride for the people of Kashmir. The socio cultural milieu of Kashmir, he said has long been fashioned by the teachings of these great sages and saints, whose message he observed is universal and much needed in today's works.(KNS)
