Srinagar, Aug 15 (KNS): A boy of Badipora Tangmarg injured recently in clashes with the government forces on last Friday succumbed to injuries and yet another youth was killed in fresh clashes with the government forces at Batlmoo Srinagar on Monday and with this the death toll in this year’s unrest has gone up to 61. Meanwhile eighteen more civilians were reported injured in fresh clashes KNS Correspondent Mushtaq Ahmad reported from Tangmarg that as soon as the body of 22 year old youth Ishfaq Ahmad Lone S/O Abdul Ahad Lone R/O Badipora Tangmarg reached Chandilora Tangmarg , a huge crow assembled and carried the body of deceased youth to Badipora Tangmarg where his burial was performed.
Thousands of people attended the funeral prayers of the slain youth. A youth, Irfan Ahmed Sofi, son of Bashir Ahmed Sofi was reportedly hit by a teargas shell on his head during clashes in south Kashmir’s Jablipura Village in Bijbehara, reports said. He was rushed to SKIMS in a critical condition.

In fresh clashes in Batmaloo in Uptown Srinagar a class 10th student was killed in forces firing at Batamaloo Monday evening.
The family of the slain youth while confirming the death told KNS that Yasir Salam, son of a carpenter, Abdul Salam Sheikh, of Dandherkha left his home for a stroll and was shot dead near Batamaloo yard. The family of the slain youth said that a huge contingent of forces personnel was deployed in the area where Salam was killed.
Confirming the death of the youth a top police official told KNS “there was no law and order situation in the area. We are investigating the incident to look into the causes of the situation that resulted in the death of this youth” At least 12 persons were injured when forces fired at protesters at Batpora and Midoora villages in south Kashmir’s Tral area on Monday, reports said Meanwhile, six protesters were injured at Dailpora in Shopian, when forces used force to quell them.
