Srinagar, Sep 05 (KNS): The incarcerated chairman of Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) Shabir Ahmad Shah refused to talk to Indian All Party delegation when he was taken to Cheshmashahi from police station Raj Bagh on Sunday.
Police and some bureaucrats on Sunday forcibly took Shabir Ahmad Shah from police station Raj Bagh to Cheshmashahi where Sitaram Yechuri and Asaduddin Owaisi tried to meet him.
The pro-freedom leader refused to meet them saying “there can be no talks within the ambit of Constitution of India”. He also termed the dialogue process a “futile exercise” if the demands put forward by resistance leadership are not met.
In a statement issued to KNS, Shah said the freedom movement of Kashmiris has entered into a very crucial phase and that India must stop enacting the “drama” of dialogue to “mislead” the international community and world opinion.
“India has tried every possible measure to suppress Kashmiris’ freedom movement and is continuing to do so. The coming of the All Party delegation is just a show-off and people must remain vigilant of every such measure aimed at suppressing the ongoing anti-India uprising and strengthening the Indian occupation here,” he said.
Shah also termed the Indian home minister Rajnath Singh’s remarks during his press conference on Mondayas “trickery” saying Jammu Kashmir has never been a part of India and that there is no chance of holding dialogue with New Delhi under the Indian Constitution.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“The delegation is led by a person whose mentality is known to all. For us, it was just an excursion for the Indian parliamentarians,” he said.
Reiterating his appeal to people to exhibit steadfastness and continue the peaceful protests, Shah said we have to take our new generation out from the Indian slavery. “So, the need of the hour is to follow the protest calendar issued by the resistance leadership in letter and spirit,” he said.
Hailing the pro-freedom spirit of people, the DFP chairman said we have to send a clear message to the world that despite rendering the sacrifices of more than 5 lakh lives, we have pinned our hopes on the “humanitarians” across the world that they raise their voices in our favour. “We also expect the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to vehemently champion our cause in the upcoming session of the United Nations General Assembly,” Shah said.
Meanwhile, Shabir Ahmad Shah paid tributes to all martyrs of the ongoing anti-India movement saying we are indebted to their “invaluable” sacrifices and duty-bound to take their mission to its logical conclusion. (KNS)
