Talent Hunt 8th Edition, 2016-17 Cricket finals played at Kunzer

Srinagar, Sep 17 (KNS): With its continuous effort to hunt new talent across North & Central Kashmir, the finals of ‘Talent Hunt 8th Edition, 2016-17 was today played at Kunzer Sports Field.
Former Agriculture Minister and DPN President, Ghulam Hassan Mir was invited as Chief Guest and Puneet Bisht, Samiullah both Ranji Players attended as guest of honour.
On the occasion Ghulam Hassan Mir stressed that the youth of Kashmir is enough talented and at par with the rest of country. Kashmir has a rich talent of sports among its youth and they need to be supported by the government to enhance their skills to make a career in sports, he said.
He further said youth is our future, adding that it is our responsibility to involve them in development and prosperity by way of channelizing their talent for nation building.
Quating Parvez Rasool and Arif Khan, Mir said that whenever youth of the State get chance, they prove their worth, adding that possibilities needs to be explored to provide them a platform to nourish their intelligentsia for the betterment of society.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He assured the youth that he will uphold their aspirations at every forum. He said that during last three decades of turmoil, the youth of state become the first victim and it is the responsibility of present government to work for their welfare.
While commenting on the working of J&K Sports Council & J&K Cricket Association Mir said that both the organizations are focusing more on politics instead of sports. They have an agenda of partisan-party-politics and as a result they provide space to the people of a particular political class leaving the actual talent unattended, Mir said. (KNS)
