Senior Congress leader and former Health and PHE Minister Choudhary Taj Mohiudin Saturday strongly contested the allegations of land grabbing leveled against him in news report of a PIL carried by a section of press today.
In a statement to KNS from London, the former Minister said his name has been unnecessarily dragged to add sensation and curiosity to the case. He categorically stated that he or his daughters do not hold even an inch of land in question illegally.
Taj said out of the 342 kanals of land mentioned in the report 170 kanals have been legally transferred in his name by one of the partners of the complainant, the records of which are available with him.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“If the complainant thinks that their land has been encroached, it might be at the level of other villagers as me or my daughters do not hold even an inch of land in the area illegally,” Taj challenged in the statement.
“It is a political conspiracy being hatched against me to defame me,” he said and added he is ready to share the details of the case with the court once it asks for the same.
