Srinagar, May 28(KNS):The Deputy commissioner Anantnag Syed F Hamid celebrated the revered Mela kheer Bhavani at Maya Raganya Devi temple at logripora aishmuqam along-with multi faith local gathering some of which had come from different parts of the country to join this occasion.
While interacting with the participants and pilgrims the DC Anantnag said that Kashmir is known for its pluralistic ethos and syncretic culture since centuries and its Sufis and saints from all faiths have preached and practiced the teachings of universal harmony as the philosophy of one universal family is echoed.
He said that the Vasudeva Kuthambakkam One earth ,one family and one future the G20 theme can be traced in our deep rooted national ethos !Mata kheer Bhavani mela is being celebrated annually with great reverence and spiritual fervour across Kashmir specifically five places including logripora Aishmuqam which witnessed the large number of Kashmiri pundit brotheren celebrating it alongwith the local Muslims and Sikh brothers thus exhibiting the real fabric of Kashmir culture.(KNS).
