Jammu, Dec 23 (KNS): State Women Commission Chairperson, Nayeema Mehjoor today interacted with the workers of Mahila Wing of Peoples Democratic Party at Party office here Wednesday.
According to a statement issued to KNS, while speaking to party workers, Mehjoor said that PDP-BJP coalition has been mandated to address issues relating to women and poorest of poor in the society. She said people, especially the poor and destitute have high expectations from the govt and best efforts must be put in to address their problems.
Nayeema Mehjor said that Women Commission will organize awareness camps for women, especially in educational institutes, rural and far flung areas to create awareness among females about their rights as well as about social security schemes Hunar, Ladli Beti, AASRA, State Marriage Assistance Scheme (SMAS), and their benefits, so that maximum beneficiaries are covered under the said programmes.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
She exhorted upon the party workers to make people aware poor beneficiaries to avail benefit under various schemes, and reach out to individual beneficiary at the doorstep to facilitate filling of forms.
Mehjoor said that every effort should be put to strengthen the party in every corner of the state and the message of pro people policies of the coalition government under the leadership of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed should be spread and added that women are the important part of the society and their awareness means that through their awareness society is made aware.
General Secretary, Ved Mahajan, Sr leader and former MLA Shanti Devi, State Secretary Jatinder Bhat and many others were also present on the occasion. (KNS)
