SWARNIM Vujay varsh celebrated by TMG Brigade

 

Kupwara July 03 (KNS):  In view of countrywide commemoration of the ‘Golden Jubilee’ of Vijay Diwas, the historic Victory over Pakistan during the 1971 war which resulted in creation of a new nation, Bangladesh and arouse passion and patriotism among youth, the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi had commenced the celebration by sending out four Victory Flames to various parts of the country from National War Memorial, Delhi on 16 Dec 2020.

 Victory Flames was received with full military honours by awam and enthusiastic soldiers of TMG Brigade at Kandy Bridge on 03 Jul 21. The Victory Flame was brought to the War Memorial of TMG Brigade at Naugam and homage was paid to the valiant soldiers and their supreme sacrifice in service of the nation. At the war memorial wreaths were laid to pay homage to War Heroes by Brigadier KDS Jhala, Commander, TMG Bde and the visiting dignitaries, to include Additional DC, SP Handwara and DDC Mawar. On this occasion the youth of Mawar has taken inspiration from the acts of bravery of our War Heroes, to carry forward the noble task of serving the nation selflessly. 

 During 1971 war the porters of Mawar also became the backbone of the forces as their familiarity to the terrain and unbiased support and patriotism helped the forces to keep up the administrative support during the war. On this occasion of celebration of SWARNIM VIJAY VARSH, TMG Bde felicitated all these heroes for their dedication and patriotism towards the country. On this occasion TMG Bde also organised a blood donation camp at Naugam and donated 27 units of blood. 

It was an overwhelming sight to witness a fresh wave of Nationalism & Patriotism among the locals on the occasion of of celebration of SWARNIM VIJAY VARSH.(KNS)
