Suspected grenade blast in Ramban; no injuries reported

Srinagar, Aug 02 (KNS): A high alert was sounded after a suspected grenade attack on a police post in Ramban district of Jammu region, officials said here on Tuesday. 


"A suspicious blast took place inside Ind police post in Gool area around 5 or 5:30am this morning. The explosive was hurled inside the police post," says Ramban district police chief, SSP Mohita Sharma. 

Additional director general of police, Mukesh Singh said that a grenade blast has occured near the premises of police post Ind which falls in the jurisdiction of police station Gool. 

"A letter has also been found claiming it to be done by JKGF (Jammu Kashmir Ghaznavi Force). SOG and army teams have been mobilised for cordon and search," he said 

He futher said thet s case has been registered and investigation in progress while there was no injury or loss of property in this incident. Meanwhile, a high alert was sounded after a suspected grenade attack.(KNS).
