Says Kashmir internationally acknowledged dispute

Srinagar, June 23 (KNS): The incarcerated chairman of a Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) Shabir Ahmad Shah on Thursday termed the statement of Indian foreign minister Sushma Swaraj regarding the disputed status of Kashmir as far from reality.
In a statement issued to KNS, Shah said the Kashmir issue lies pending in the agenda of UN and there is a proof of the third party intervention in this dispute. "Not only this, the 18 resolutions passed in the Security Council are a clear proof that Kashmir is not an integral part of India but an internationally acknowledged dispute," he said.
Asking Sushma Swaraj to reread the history, Shah said Kashmir was never part of India but the latter annexed it through military might on October 27, 1947 soon after the partition of the subcontinent.
"Sushma Swaraj must be aware of the record in UN as to how the Indian first prime minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru promised to give the people of Jammu Kashmir the right to decide their future. Later on, India reneged from its promises and continued the forcible and illegal occupation over Jammu Kashmir," he said.
Shah made it clear that Kashmir issue has three stakeholders and the world nations have offered so many suggestions in this regard.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel"Indian leaders must shun the stubborn attitude. If they are true to their claims, they should without any hesitation conduct the referendum in the state and whatever the results would be acceptable to us," he said.
