Bandipora, Jun 12 (KNS): Mission Bandipora on Friday claimed to have expanded its support base in the district after a joining programme was held in the Waven Athwatoo area, where several people associated with different political groups joined the organisation.
The programme was led by Mission Bandipora leader Mushtaq Tantrey and his brother Ghulam Nabi Tantrey, a contractor and chairman of a private educational institution.
According to organisers, a number of individuals, including youth and former workers of various political parties, joined the organisation and expressed support for its stated agenda of development and public welfare.
Addressing the gathering, the leadership welcomed the new entrants and said the organisation would continue its outreach efforts across the district. They said Mission Bandipora was committed to addressing public issues, promoting youth participation and working for the development of Bandipora.
Mushtaq Tantrey, who has been holding public meetings and outreach programmes in different parts of the district, said public engagement would remain a key focus of the organisation's activities.
The new members said they joined the organisation due to its focus on local issues and development-related initiatives.(KNS).
