Qazigund, Jan 20 (KNS): In a continued crackdown on reckless driving, the Special Enforcement Team of Traffic Police, Rural Kashmir, intercepted a chronic stunt biker in Qazigund on Tuesday.
An official told news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) that the operation was conducted under the supervision of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ravinder Pal Singh, Traffic Rural Kashmir, along with DySP Traffic Qazigund, Kulgam.
The individual has been identified as Shawer Ahmad Lone, a resident of Hariwarh, Kulgam.
The official stated that the motorcycle used by the stunt biker was seized on the spot under relevant legal provisions. Furthermore, the rider underwent a formal counseling session.

He said that during the session, the rider was educated about the severe consequences of stunt driving and the negative impact such activities—especially when videos are uploaded to social media—can have on students and youth.
The officer further stated that SSP Traffic Rural Kashmir has issued specific directives to field officers to eliminate rash, negligent, and stunt driving. Authorities also reiterated a public advisory, urging motorists not to hand over their vehicles to minors, stunt drivers, or individuals without a valid driving license. They emphasized that this measure is crucial to preventing road accidents and fatalities. (KNS)
