Students of Government Middle School Choolaun Uri Wednesday held protest demonstration on Srinagar-Muzaffarabad road against non-availability of teachers in their school.
KNS reporter said the School has 212 students on rolls and only three teachers who are not able to do justice for eight classes. So to register their protest the students blocked the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad road this morning.
In the meanwhile, as per reports, the cavalcade of Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Peerzada Mushtaq passed through and the protesting students made the senior officer to come out of the vehicle and listen to their grievance.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelMushtaq pacified the agitating students with promises of fulfilling their grievances. The DC later raided the office of ZEO Chandanwari (under whose jurisdiction the middle school comes) and found him absent. The deputy commissioner Baramulla orders suspension of the ZEO and a teacher.
Talking to KNS, the DC said that the grievance of students was genuine and he has deputed four new teachers for the school.
