Srinagar, Oct 10 (KNS): The students of class 10 and 12 on Monday continue to stage protest against the government in Ganderbal district, demanding deferment of examination scheduled to be commence from mid-November.
The students assembled in Duderhama and Preng areas of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district and staged demonstration against the government.
The protesting students were holding placards and were chanting slogans like ‘boycott boycott exam boycott’.
The protesters said that the education requires free and peaceful environment. “The situation is getting worsening with each passing day and the government is asking us to appear in the examinations, which is sheer injustice with the students,” they said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
They said that the government should first create an enabling atmosphere for the exams then should ask the students to appear in the exams. “Despite forces continue to kill and maim people especially students, the government is asking us to appear in the exams. What message they are trying to convey with this attitude,” they said.
They later appealed authorities to defer the exams till the improvement in the prevailing situation. (KNS)
