Srinagar, Mar 23 (KNS) : The Indian Buildings Congress (IBC), J&K Chapter, in collaboration with Government School Yadipora in Pattan, observed World Water Day with a focus on engaging the younger generation in sustainable water management.
Speaking at the event, Er. Irfan Shafi Parray, Secretary of IBC J&K Chapter, highlighted the escalating pressure on water resources and called for the adoption of sustainable practices at both institutional and household levels.
In his address, IBC J&K Chapter Chairman Er. Aamir Ali underscored the ecological sensitivity of the region, asserting that water conservation efforts must evolve into a widespread students’ movement.

Abdul Rashid Sheikh, Head of the Institution, spoke on the crucial role of educational institutions in fostering responsible behaviour and awareness among students regarding water conservation.
The programme saw active participation from both faculty and students, who lauded the IBC J&K Chapter’s initiative in raising grassroots awareness on the issue. (KNS)
