Srinagar, Jul 23 (KNS): Jammat-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir Sunday said that the forcible closure of Jamia Masjid Srinagar by the Indian forces and Police thereby depriving thousands of Muslims from attending Friday mandatory prayers is a grave violation of the fundamental right of the people to professional, practise and propagate their religion.
In a statement issued to KNS, JeI Spokesman Advocate Zahid Ali said that the central mosque is now closed for three consecutive Fridays which reminds the dark period of the Dogra imperialistic rule during which this central place of worship was forcibly locked for a long period.
“Mirwaiz Umar Farooq who is delivering the Friday sermon has also been detained at his residence thereby depriving him from propagating the Islamic teachings to the people which is an interference in the religious affairs of Muslims”, he said.
Likewise the octogenarian pro-freedom popular leader Syed Ali Geelani has been under continuous house arrest for years together is a blatant violation of all the human rights and democratic norms having no justification in any civilized legal set up of governance but Indian establishment claiming to be the largest democracy of the world has crossed all records of human rights violations and have leased a reign of terror in the valley committing all types of atrocities upon the hapless people of Kashmir and no one from the world community has objected to this inhuman state behaviour towards a huge civilians population whose only fault is their genuine demand of giving them their cherished right of the self determination.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
