Srinagar, Nov 29 (KNS): In its endeavour under public outreach programme, district police Srinagar organised "Run For Peace-2021" event. The event was flagged off from Lalit Ghat and culminated at Nishat garden with a grand prize distribution ceremony among the winners.

A large group of participants including youth, children and senior citizens participated in the event. The race was flagged off near Lalit Ghat by the chief guest SP City East zone, Srinagar Tanushree IPS alongside Sachit Sharma SDPO nehru Park. The finishing point of the race was set near Nishat Gardens, where five participants were declared winners for the five positions in the order of finishing the race. Moreover prizes were given to the youngest and oldest participants of the event.

While distributing prizes among the winners, Tanushree SP East encouraged the participants to continue to take part in such events, so that a messaage of peace and harmony is spread all around. The officer, while culminating the event thanked one and all for taking part in the even despite shivering cold and showing positive response to such events. (KNS)
