Srinagar, Oct 3 (KNS): Apni Party president Altaf Bukhari has sought a transparent probe into the alleged purchase of land on the outskirts of Srinagar by a non-domicile for construction of a hotel.

Bukhari questioned the circumstances under which the transaction was permitted and sought details of the officials and authorities involved in processing and approving the land and revenue records.

He said the government, particularly the Revenue Department, should clarify how the transaction was allowed and whether it complied with the applicable domicile and land laws.

“If the purchase was made in violation of the existing laws, those responsible for facilitating or enabling the transaction must be identified and held accountable,” Bukhari said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

He also questioned recent statements by a ruling party leader and the Chief Minister’s Advisor seeking to dismiss his allegations, saying the government should provide factual answers instead.

Bukhari demanded that the government order an impartial inquiry into the matter and make its findings public.

He said a transparent investigation was necessary in the larger interest of Jammu and Kashmir and its people.(KNS)
