Srinagar, Mar 28 (KNS): Srinagar police holds youth interaction programme at Banquet Hall Srinagar in which about 300 youth from all walks of life including several youth previously given amnesty in law and order cases, youth actively involved in social activities, youth traders, transporters, vendors, hawkers, etc from East Zone of City participated.

SSP Srinagar Dr M. Haseeb Mughal-JKPS was Cheif Guest on the occasion. Among others SP East City Srinagar Dawood Ayub-JKPS, SDPO Nehru Park Ms P. D. Nitya-IPS, SDPO Kothibagh Imran Farooq -JKPS and all the SHO's of the East zone were also present.

The youth raised various issues pertaining to Police as well as Civil Administration including drug menace, traffic jamming and several social issues.

He stressed on various issues ranging from "Drug menace to Career exploration" which was welcomed by all the participants.

He stressed that it is the time to bridge gap between police and public especially with youth.

SSP Srinagar seek cooperation of youth in the restoration of peace in the valley especially in the distict Srinagar and added that the main aim of the Jammu & Kahmir police is the "peace and prosperity of the people."

The youth interaction is the part of public outreach programme that has been started by the Srinagar Police on the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police Dr. M. Haseeb Mughal-JKPS. These kind of programmes will continue in coming days also. (KNS)
