Srinagar Police distributes essential items among differently abled children

December 04(KNS): Continuing its efforts to reach out poor and needy people, Police in Srinagar on the eve of World Disability Day have distributed essential items including 100 track suits among the differently abled children at Abhinandan Home Solina (School for specially abled children) in Srinagar.

SSP Srinagar Dr. M. Haseeb Mughal-JKPS alongwith SP South City, ASP Hazratbal, SDPO Shaheedgunj and other officers of the District Srinagar held distribution ceremony at Deaf and Dumb School Solina Srinagar. Essential items including 100 track suits were distributed among the differently abled children on the eve of World Disability Day.

On the occasion, SSP Srinagar said that we must feel the importance of fostering an inclusive culture and responding to the urgent needs of people with disability in all aspects of society. SSP Srinagar assured them that Srinagar Police stands with the disabled children and will do our part in facilitating them to achieve their goals.

At the end of ceremony, SSP Srinagar also complimented the teachers and the staff of the school for doing a commendable service in teaching the differently abled children.

He also assured the children that a Badminton court will be constructed in their school so that they feel inspired and feel fit to take up the challenges in future(KNS).
