Srinagar Police Carry Out Raids at Residences and Business Premises Linked to JeI Associates

Srinagar, November 27 (KNS): Srinagar Police conducted coordinated raids across the city at the residences and business establishments of individuals identified as associates of Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI) as part of ongoing efforts to maintain security and public order.

The searches were carried out at various locations in areas including Chanpora, Baghat, Bemina, Soura, Lalbazar, Harwan and Nowgam. Police also searched several institutions and establishments linked with JeI ideology, including Jamiat-ul-Banaat near Kashmir University, Rahat Manzil at Chattabal, Chinar Publication Trust and Al-Kousar Book Shop at Maisuma.

During the operation, materials connected to the investigation were seized and taken for further examination.

Srinagar Police said the action forms part of ongoing measures to prevent unlawful activities and ensure peace in the region. Further investigation is underway and action will follow as per law.

The public has been urged to cooperate with law enforcement agencies and report any suspicious activity to help maintain peace and order.
