Awarded 'TLM Champion' at National League in Delhi
Srinagar, Jan 17 (KNS): Sufeena Bano, an educator from North Kashmir's Sopore, has been honoured as a National TLM Champion after securing a top-ten finish at the highly competitive National TLM League 2025.
The grand finale, held at the Constitution Club of India in New Delhi, was organised through The Teacher App—an initiative of the Bharti Airtel Foundation—in partnership with the Union Ministry of Education and state education departments, according to the news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS).
Bano’s innovation in Teaching-Learning Materials (TLMs) stood out among more than 5,000 entries from across India. Only 36 participants advanced through a rigorous three-tier selection process to the final stage, where ten were ultimately declared national champions.

Bano was also invited as a distinguished panelist during the event’s discussion segment, where she shared insights on educational innovation and represented the voice of teachers from Jammu and Kashmir at the national level, sources added.
The felicitation ceremony was graced by senior officials, including Lt. Col. Jitendra Verma (OSD, Education & Skill Development, NITI Aayog); Manoj Kumar Srivastava (Director – Training, CBSE); Arun Kapur (Director, Pallavan Learning Systems); and Rakesh Bharti Mittal (Vice Chairman, Bharti Enterprises and Bharti Airtel Foundation).
