3 militants, about 15 OGWs active in s Srinagar: IGP Vijay Kumar

Srinagar, Sept 15 (KNS): The Inspector General of Police Kashmir zone, Vijay Kumar Wednesday said that sports activities are a must to keep the youth away from drugs and militant activities and the police is going to organize several sports activities in the coming months in Kashmir. 

Talking to reporters on the sidelines of a sports function at Indoor Sports hall in Srinagar, IGP said that sports activities help in keeping the youth away from militant activities and drugs as sports activities keep them busy. 

He also said that at least four militants are still active in Srinagar and the security forces are trying to arrest them or naturalize them in the encounters. 

He also said that police are going to organize more sports events in the coming months, which will help keep the youth busy and away from going astray. (KNS)
