Specially-abled orphan student from Lalpora Kupwara clears class 10 with flying colors

Kupwara, June 21 (KNS): A specially-abled boy, who also happens to be an orphan, from Tilwanpora Lalpora Lolab in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district has cleared the recently announced matriculation results with flying colors.

Talib Hussain, whose mother passed away at the time of his birth, was adopted by his relatives at Tilwanpora Lalpora. Taking the moral responsibility of Talib, born as deaf-and-dumb, the adoptive family admitted him to Government Middle School Tilwanpora, from where he cleared his Class 8th exams.

Sensing the sagacity and dedication of the young boy, the family admitted him to Government Higher Secondary School Lalpora for further studies from where he cleared Class IX and now Class X exams as well.

Expressing their jubilation over the feat of the young boy, the adoptive family said it is a matter of great honor for them that Talib has gone this far and has now qualified the Class X exams. “We never treat him as our foster child but instead see him as our own”, an adoptive family member said adding “We’ll continue to finance and do our bit to see him progressing to next classes with the same dedication.”

The family on the occasion expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Headmaster Government Middle School Tilwanpora and to the Principal Government Higher Secondary School Lalpora for their due support to the child, who would need special care and extra-effort, all along.

The adoptive family of the specially-abled child in the meanwhile urged administration to take measures for the welfare of such children and to assist them if, at all, such children want to continue with their studies. (KNS)
