Srinagar, June 1 (KNS): The Speaker of the Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly has convened a meeting with chairpersons of different House Committees on Monday.

Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather confirmed to Kashmir News Service (KNS) and said that i have called a meeting on Monday with heads of nine House Committees constituted recently to perform functions prescribed to them under the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in J&K Assembly.

“The meeting would discuss functioning of the Financial and other committees,” and to discuss programmes for future.

He also said that it's routine exercise to discuss the functioning.

Those asked to attend the meeting include Sham Lal Sharma, Chairman Committee on Public Accounts; Shamim Firdous, Chairperson Committee on Estimates; Ali Mohammad Sagar, Chairman Committee on Public Undertakings; Sajad Gani Lone, Chairman, Committee on Government Assurances; Muhammad Yousuf Tarigami, Chairman Committee on Environment; Surjeet Singh Slathia, Chairman Ethics committee; Nizam-ud-din Bhat, Chairman Committee on Privileges;.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelHasnain Masoodi, Chairman Committee on Subordinate Legislation; and Pirzada Farooq Ahmad Shah, Chairman Committee on Petitions.

In addition to the chairmen/chairpersons, other officials who have been requested to attend the meeting include Principal Accountant General, J&K; Commissioner Secretary to Government, General Administration Department; and the Secretary to Government Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs.(KNS)
