Handwara June 15:(KNS) Superintendent of police Handwara Sandeep Gupta on Tuesday urged people to take the vaccination as a priority measure to defeat the Covid pandemic.

The senior officer paid visit to Handwara market to join the mask distribution drive held by "Youth civil society Handwara". He appreciated the mask distribution drive led by youth civil society.

 I extend my gratitude to these youth, who are taking their precious time to create awareness among people and saving lives, he told KNS.

Reacting to rumours against vaccination, SP Handwara asked people do not pay heed to rumours, vaccination is safe.

The legal action will be initiated against those who are spreading rumours against covid vaccination, he said.

Take vaccination as a priority measure to fight the vaccination, he added. 

He also said that the Handwara police has conduct several events at different locations to spread awareness among people to follow the appropriate covid behavior,

In future we will also be having the programs continue to spread awareness campaign among people, he added. 

SP Handwara urged people to adhere covid guidelines in letter and spirit, he concluded. (KNS)
