SP Handwara held a meeting with retired police officers at DPL Handwara

Handwara August 02 (KNS): In order to aware the welfare measures and to redress the grievances, a meeting with retired officers was held by SP Handwara  Sandeep Gupta-IPS , at DPL Handwara in which around 70 retired Police officers/officials have participated.

The participants were welcomed by SP Handwara and thanked them for sparing their valuable time to attend the meeting. He assured them that police is always at their disposal and asked them not to feel isolated. Further assured them that they are still part of Police organization and they can approach any Police officer or police unit at any time whenever they are in need.

It was also made clear in the meeting that retirees are always welcome for their valuable suggestions and there is great respect for them in the Police organization as they have rendered a long service and toiled hard to earn a name for the organization. Various measures are taken by the Police department for the welfare of retired Police personnel and their wards which were read out for availing the facilities of the said measures.

The retirees raised various issues in the meeting and a patient hearing was given by the chairing officer and they were assured that their demands /problems would be taken up at an appropriate level for their redressal. The meeting was also attended by DYSP DAR Handwara Shri Abdul Raqeeb Malik-JKPS Inspector Sulieman and Lines Officer DPL Handwara.

The meeting was concluded with the vote of thanks and with the assurance that such meetings will be held on a regular basis in future to redress the grievances of the retirees. 

SP Handwara also inspected parade at DPL and  directed jawans to remain extra vigilant and passionate to civilians on their duties.(KNS)
