Srinagar, July 23 (KNS): Days after former Home Minister P Chidambaram issued a statement over resolution of Kashmir issue; former Union Minister and senior congress leader, Prof Saifuddin Soz Saturday met with him and congratulated him for his vision and forthrightness for making transparent statement public.
Soz told KNS that he met with P Chidambaram and discussed various issues regarding the resolution of Kashmir issue.
“This is an advice to the Indian nation and all the political class in the country to change its dispensation towards Kashmir and recognize in full measure that Kashmir issue is not an issue of law and order situation but it is a political issue,” he said.
“I am approaching the people of India through you that they should understand the current crisis in Kashmir and organise a fresh response to Kashmir issue,” he said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
He said that Chidambaram’s statement actually constitutes a day forward, and asked him that he (Chidambaram) should take further steps so that a decisive dialogue is initiated with the leaders on ground,”.
“I came here to meet Chidambaram to tell him that he was right right and he should move forward and share his vision on Kashmir vigorously with the nation,” he said.
He told KNS that he told Chidambaram that it was wrong on the part of Delhi to have diluted the autonomy granted to Kashmir.
“Chidambaram fully supported my perception on the situation in Kashmir,” Soz said. (KNS)
