Srinagar, Oct 19 (KNS): Independent legislators and senior politicians have condemned the ink-smearing attack on MLA Langate Engineer Rashid in New Delhi by rightwing goons.
CPI (M) leader and MLA Kulgam M Y Tarigam condemned the attack and said that the RSS-BJP goons have become a threat on the freedom of speech and posed a grave danger to minorities across the country.
“The Hinduvta goons are no so free that they can freely attack an elected member of legislature. Such attacks are condemnable and those attackers must be dealt with law,” he told KNS.
Chairman Democratic Party Nationalist leader and former MLA Tangmarg Ghulam Hassan Mir also condemned the ink attack on Er Rahsid.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
“RSS and BJP have started threatening minorities and they don’t spare even legislators. Such attacks raise question mark on the democracy of the country and free speech,” he told KNS.
Peoples Democratic Front General Secretary Abdul Qayoom Mir has also condemned the ink-attack on Er Rashid, saying that the right-wing hooligans have spread their tentacles so far and have now grown so strong that they don’t spare even the elected members.
Former JKPCC chief Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz also condemned the attack on Er Rashid and said that the country’s secular and democratic values are in grave danger under BJP which is led by RSS pracharak Narendra Modi. (KNS)
