Srinagar, Sep 01 (KNS): Former union Minister Prof. Saifuddin Soz here on Thursday met separately Governor, N. N. Vohra and Dr. Karan Singh and discussed with them the prevailing situation in Kashmir.
In a statement issued to KNS, Soz said “with Governor N N Vohra I discussed the overall situation prevailing in the State, particularly in Kashmir and hoped that soon a situation will prevail in which an open discussion on matters of public importance will be possible”.
Soz said that he met Senior Congress Leader and MP Rajya Sabha, Dr. Karan Singh at Taley Manzil, Gupkar Road, Srinagar later in the day.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelSoz said “Dr. Karan Singh left me in no doubt that he is prepared to lend a helping hand to see the current situation of strife yielding space for an unfettered discussion on matters of crucial importance, with a view to create understanding for harmony and a dignified, peaceful life.”
Dr. Karan Singh arrived here today to share his views in the light of his two speeches delivered by him in the Rajya Sabha in its recent session in which he made his position clear on Kashmir problem. (KNS)
