Shopian, Nov 5 (KNS): Residents of several areas of south Kashmir's Shopian district on Thursday alleged of being charged exorbitant fair by passenger vehicles and and said concerned department is watching as mute spectator.

According to Kashmir News Service, residents said on various routes including Turkwagan to Piniora, Pahoo to Hermain Shopian, Killer Shopian and dozens other routes vehicles plying on said routes are charging extra fare.

They said that the students and other people are suffering worst due to exorbitant fair and said they have appealed authorities several times to look into the matter but so far no steps have been taken in this regard.

The residents appealed authorities to intervene into the matter at an earliest. (KNS)
