Sopore Restaurant organizes ‘I Love Sopore’ event to provide platform to youth to showcase their talent

Sopore, July 26 (KNS): Sandy Bloom Restaurant and Cafe in North Kashmir's Sopore town organized an event titled 'I Love Sopore' to provide a platform to youth to showcase their talent. 

The main purpose of organizing this musical event was to provide a platform for budding singers and musicians and also to make youth aware about drugs absue and other social evils. 

Many local budding singers and musicians including Rapper Faizan Farooq (The Razeel Army), Rapper Ashu, Talib Teli (Rabab Master), Mehraj Ahmed (Guitarist), Aijaz Sultan (Rhythmist) and Tariq Rasool (Singer) participated in the event and mesmerized the audience with their enthralling performances.

Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Ishtiyaq Ahmed, owner of Sandy Bloom Restaurant said that there is Sufi culture in the air of Kashmir and the purpose was to bring youth to positivity as they are getting involved in drug addiction. 

"Sopore is enriched with talent. Our youth have enough potential but are being ignored. We motivate the young people of Sopore to come forward and engage in these kinds of events," he said. 

He added that they will continue to organize such events in future as well to provide platform to the budding artists to showcase their hidden talent. 

Faizan Farooq, a rapper who heads the 'Razeel Army' band said such programmes are need of the hour as many youth are indulging in drug abuse and the generation is under a lot of stress, which needs an outlet. 

“It is high time to save the future of the young generation by allowing them to express themselves by participating in musical events. We are hopeful that such programmes would be conducted in the future also and the youth of Sopore will be given a chance to showcase their talent,” he said. (KNS)
