Sopore, November 12 (KNS): In one of the largest coordinated security operations in recent months, Sopore Police carried out extensive raids across the district, targeting individuals and premises associated with the banned Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI).

Reports reaching to Kashmir News Service (KNS) said that More than 30 locations were searched in Sopore, Zaingeer, and Rafiabad with the support of other security agencies. Officials said the action followed credible intelligence inputs about attempts by JeI-linked elements to revive their activities under new names.

Authorities described the operation as part of an ongoing preventive strategy aimed at dismantling the ideological and logistical networks supporting separatist activities in the region.

A senior police officer said the searches were intelligence-driven and designed to prevent any effort to destabilize the current peace in the area.

Sopore Police reaffirmed their commitment to continue operations against all entities linked to banned organizations to ensure lasting peace and stability in the district.(KNS)
