Sopore, Feb 28 (KNS) ; Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday attached the immovable properties of two proclaimed offenders in a case registered under the Enemy Agents Ordinance, officials said.
An official told news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) the action was taken against the accused, identified as Basheer Ahmad Mir, a resident of Lathishat Tujjar, and Ajaz Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Harwan, in connection with a case registered at Police Station Sopore in 2008.
Police said the duo had been evading arrest for a prolonged period. Investigations revealed that both individuals had exfiltrated to Pakistan for arms training and were currently involved in anti-India propaganda and supporting terrorist activities from across the border, official said.

Following the due legal process, a court had declared both accused as proclaimed offenders. Subsequently, attachment proceedings under the relevant legal provisions were initiated against their immovable assets, the official said.
The attachment was carried out by a police team in the presence of an Executive Magistrate and independent witnesses. Proper revenue verification and a local enquiry were conducted before the execution of the orders, the official added.
