Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) and Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) today said that some higher ups are shielding Director SKIMS Dr Showkat Zargar and Principal GMC Srinagar Dr Rafiq Pampori.
In a joint statement to KNS, President DAK Dr Nisar ul Hassan and President EJAC Abdul Qayoom Wani said that these higher ups are trying every means to sabotage their ouster.
These higher ups are misleading Chief Minister (CM) by giving him false information about these officials.
These higher ups are using police to muzzle the voices which are raised against the illegalities committed by these health officials.
These health officials have no justification to continue as they have illegally occupied their positions.
These officials have ruined the prestigious health institutions which are in a state of complete disorder and people have lost faith and trust in these institutions.

Patients have to wait for months for procedures and surgeries in these institutions and they are forced to go to private clinics.
Even for consultations patients in these tertiary care institutions end up being seen by trainees, as senior doctors are busy in their private clinics.
Employees who are raising voice against these officials are crushed by police who act at the behest of these higher ups and health officials.
These employees should have been applauded for exposing the illegalities committed by these health officials, but instead a reign of terror is unleashed against them.
We urge chief minister to intervene and remove Director SKIMS and Principal GMC from their positions and replace them by honest and competent person in order to revive the pristine glory of these premier institutions and provide solace to patients. (KNS)
