Says Sopore like incidents defame Kashmir

Baramulla 12 (KNS): Reacting over Suspected militant attack in Sopore, People's Democratic Party President Mehbooba Mufti on Saturday said that Solution of Kashmir issue is through gun but lies only in dialogue.

 

Talking to reporters on the sidelines of her visit to Baramulla where massive fire tragedy took place two days ago, she said that the fire tragedy left victims on the mercy of God and compensation should be provided at earliest.

 

Noorbagh society and volunteer youth have been doing appreciable help in easing sufferings of victims somehow, she said adding that she talked to DC Baramulla as their is need of decongestion in the area also.

 

"If there are four families living in a house, two of them need to be evicted and should be given alternative land. This should be done, otherwise, there may be more such tragedies in the future", she added.

 

She also said that these fire victims are not in a position to rebuild their house on their own as they have taken loans and most of their salary goes in repaying them.

 

"I appeal people of Kashmir who are financially sound to donate towards these sufferers as this massive fire have rendered them homeless and got no time to salvage the belongings", she added.

 

Reacting over Sopore attack in which three civilians and two cops loss their lives she said that such attacks are condemnable and defame Kashmir.

 

"We have been always condemning Sopore like attacks.The solution of Kashmir is not through the gun.Neither through guns of New Delhi nor in guns taken up by local youths here, she said adding that such attacks only defame Kashmir as solution lies only in dialogue.(KNS)
